Directions
From Sacramento, on eastbound I-80, turn right at the Donner Lake exit, just after the View Point turnout, soon after Donner Pass.
From Reno, on westbound I-80, turn left at the Donner Lake exit, just after the View Point turnout, 3 miles past the Donner Pass Road exit.
The cabin is on the left, .95 of a mile down Donner Lake Road from the stop sign at the I-80 exit ramp. The driveway is across the road from the stop ahead sign. The address 10157 is prominent on the larger, west cabin with the yellow roof "Drumskin Lodge".

Cabin Cable Modem and Wireless Directions
For wireless access via WiFi, use the wireless Network Name (SSID) Woodster in Woodster Cabin and Drumskin in Drumskin Lodge, without encryption. There are wireless access points in both cabins.
If you want to plug your laptop into Ethernet and know how to set it up to 'obtain IP addresses automatically' (be a DHCP client) then feel free to use the loose cat 5 Ethernet cable in the lakeside living room corner of Woodster or sockets under the downstairs desk in Drumskin.
The above assumes the guests in Woodster cabin haven't screwed up the wiring, modem or router; please don't bug them if it doesn't work. It is a fast two-way cable modem. It is normally on all the time and does not need to be 'connected'.
